Sirius1970 Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 Mr. Dowson: I have a much older Avionics Stack labeled "Elite Personal Simulator", Part #M310P-C1-002 and I have several versions of MS FS, including 2004 and FSX. I also have X-Plane V8 and V9. The connector on the rear of the Avionics Stack is a 9 pin serial connection which I have connected to COM 1 on a Vista machine. I see that your program is not backwards compatible and I am not sure which version to order. Will this product help me interface the avionics stack with and of the sim programs? Thanks...Tom

Sounds like the Elite stack, possibly made by PFC (?), but using Elite protocol -- which is proprietary to the Elite simulator. I see that your program is not backwards compatible FSUIPC? What on do you mean by that? FSUIPC3 works with all versions of FS from FS98 onwards. Only FSUIPC4 is new, for FSX. It has nothing to do with hardware -- it is NOT a hardware driver! You are getting a bit mixed up, perhaps? None of my software will be useful with the Elite simulator. I do FS drivers for PFC hardware, but FSUIPC is not a driver at all. You need to look elsewhere -- please do not buy anything of mine thinking it will drive your Elite hardware. You need a driver from Elite. If they do one for FS, they will tell you whether you also need FSUIPC or not. Regards Pete
