Plazarus Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 Hi, I know Pete is away on holiday but I wonder if someone else might know. The new CH Eclipse yoke has paddles ( like some cars ) and I wonder if these can be programmed to be used in place of peddles? I have a space issue and would prefer to try and set up the eclipse with just the paddles. Does anyone know if this is possible/viable? Thanks Paul PS I have registered version 4 but little knowledge!!!
Bob Church Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 Hi Plazarus, Yes, that's really what they were intended to do. You just need to go into the FS Controls Assignments dialog, select Rudders, and then move the paddles. They should assign just fine. You might need to adjust the Sensitivity in FS, and Windows has never tried to calibrate center but since you're running FSUIPC, you'll be able to tweak it into the middle without any problem there. Hope this helps! Best regards, - Bob The StickWorks http://www.stickworks.com
Plazarus Posted June 18, 2009 Author Report Posted June 18, 2009 Thanks Bob, That's perfect..now I just need to find someone who has one in stock in UK.. as I will be there for 2 days only.... I see gameseek have.. maybe I should risk using them! Thanks again. Paul
Bob Church Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 Hi Paul, If you have time, you might try contacting: debby(at)chproducts(dot)com She can probably tell you what UK distributors are likely to have them. Good luck! Best regards, - Bob The StickWorks http://www.stickworks.com
Andydigital Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 Are these paddles proportional (an Axis) or digital (buttons), I ask because 99% of paddles on steering wheel peripherals are digital.
Plazarus Posted June 19, 2009 Author Report Posted June 19, 2009 Bob, I found a dealer who has already shipped it to my friends house... Transair? Not particularly good service but got the result! Thanks, Paul
Bob Church Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 Hi Andy, It's a real analog axis, not buttons. They give proportional control over the full range just like the floor pedals do. Best regards, - Bob The StickWorks http://www.stickworks.com
Bob Church Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 Hi Paul, Great! Sounds like you're all set then! Best regards, - Bob The StickWorks http://www.stickworks.com
