Snooky Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 Hey Pete, we want to Control the EFIS of the Bombardier CRJ-700 in FSX! The EFIS here only contains 3 Buttons, page up, page down und primary (back to main screen). Unfortunately i wasn't able to find the commands. Neither for the Up/Down buttons nor for the Primary button. I thought they were in the offset from which you can control most of the FS functions, but i haven't found them. Do you have any clue how we can control this nice little thing? We only need the 3 buttons. Thanks in advance Snooky

Neither for the Up/Down buttons nor for the Primary button. What do the up, down and primary buttons actually do? The term EFIS is a rather general term for lots of controls relating to display options, I've no idea what yours does unless you explain. They certainly won't be listed under "up, down and primary". Mostly they will be local to the gauges which they relate to, with no access in FS proper. I thought they were in the offset from which you can control most of the FS functions There's an offset which controls most of FS functions? Really? All in one place? Where? Do you have any clue how we can control this nice little thing? We only need the 3 buttons. Sorry, more information certainly needed. Have you tried using FSUIPC's Event logging to see if those buttons send any FS controls? Regards Pete
Snooky Posted June 28, 2009 Author Report Posted June 28, 2009 The offset i thought of was 3110 i think. The one where you can just send numbers like 65731 to and it increases Com1 frequency (for example). The EFIS of the Bombardier CRJ 700 looks like this http://www.fspilotshop.com/images/FPeic_01.jpg All pages are accessible via the up and down buttons, primary returns you to the upper left page from wherever you are at the moment. So basically you have one display and 3 buttons. Up/down let you move through the different displays, primary returns you to the upper left one in the picture. Unfortunately i don't have access to FSX at home (only at university) but if i remember correctly, you are not able to push any other buttons in the EFIS. Just the three ones i mentioned.

If an add-on invents new switches and doesn't re-use FS controls to drive them, then naturally FS controls aren't involved and have no effect. The EFIS of the Bombardier CRJ 700 looks like this http://www.fspilotshop.com/images/FPeic_01.jpgAll pages are accessible via the up and down buttons, primary returns you to the upper left page from wherever you are at the moment. So they are not specific aircraft controls and certainly not something implemented in FS itself? That's why there are no FS controls for them. You'd need to see if the Mouse Macro facilities in FSUIPC will operate them. If not, if they will only respond to real mouse clciks, I'm afraid you'd need something like the Key2Mouse program. Regards Pete
Snooky Posted June 28, 2009 Author Report Posted June 28, 2009 I'll check this out when i'm back at university on thursday. First I will try the Mouse Macro facilities of FSUIPC. I will report back when i found a solution.
