Abrupto Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 Hello Peter, I'm testing FSX with Project Magenta in a Vista computer and I'm getting problems with comunications. Very often the the PM ND stops (frezzes) and after some time it comes back and so on. FSX does not stop. I post both the Wideserver and Wide client logs for you to see: ********* WideServer.DLL Log [version 7.520] ********* Blocksize guide = 4096 (double allowed) Date (dmy): 19/07/09, Time 10:38:51.518: Server name is RADEON 15351 Initialising TCP/IP server 15351 Initialising IPX/SPX server 15351 IPX/SPX socket() failed [Error=10047] Address family not supported by protocol family 15351 Failed to start IPX/SPX Server 15351 Initialising UDP/IP server 16193 Broadcasting service every 1000 mSecs 103975 Incoming connection Accepted ok (skt=3640) TCP 104271 Connected to computer "MAGENTA" running WideClient version 6.780 (skt=3640) TCP 812235 Close signalled to clients 813327 Closing down now ... Pete Dowson Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 I'm testing FSX with Project Magenta in a Vista computer and I'm getting problems with comunications. Very often the the PM ND stops (frezzes) and after some time it comes back and so on. FSX does not stop. I post both the Wideserver and Wide client logs for you to see There's nothing wrong with WideFS communications. The logs show that. Possibly the normal Explorer type network exchanges which PM uses are suffering problems. You need to make sure that every computer can see every other via Explorer, and that all the folders PM needs to have shared are shared and accessible. You may need to contact PM support for more advice. They publish something called "pmfileCheck" which might help. Try that first. Regards Pete
