Different Key's for FS2004 and FSX?

I have changed from FS2004 to FSX and wanted to enter my registrated FS2004 FSUIPC-Key, but failed. Do I have to buy a separate license for FSX?

Yes. And you need FSUIPC4, not FSUIPC3 -- it is a new, completely rewritten version. FSUIPC3 worked for all versions of FS from FS98 to FS2004, plus CFS1 and CFS2. FSUIPC4 works for FSX and ESP (and it would have worked on the next version of FS too, if MS hadn't killed it).
