Can't register FSUIPIC in FSX running on Vista

I have had problems with FSX on Vista so I uninstalled the program and removed all references to FSX on the drive and in the register. I then re-installed the program very carefully - rebooting after each phase. Then I tried to re-install FSUIPIC - latest version as a fresh download (FSUIPC4). Then I ran FSX.exe as administrator but when I go to register FSUIPIC the boxes are grayed out (I have valid keys). I have a valid key and it did work in the FSX instillation previously (even though the program constantly crashed). What should I now do. I have searched to forum but do not seem to find a posting that solves the problem.

FSUIPC4 registration has been part of the Installation process for over two years. You don't register in FSX at all. Please do check the Installation and Registration instructions.

Correct. I guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Thanks for your quick reply and I apologize for not reading the directions, I just assumed nothing had changed. :oops:
