crashproof Posted August 4, 2003 Report Posted August 4, 2003 I have been using an earlier version of FSUIPC with Radar Control. Both items were on the same cd, so regisration of FSUIPC wasn`t requested. I recently tried to update Radar Control, but the latest version of FSUIPC is required and the program won`t run without registration of FSUIPC. Will registration mean that the new version of Radar Control will work? Obviously, I don`t mind registering the product if this will work with Radar Control. The latest update of FSUIPC only has two pages as opposed to about five with the old version. With my present set up, if the `extended battery` option isn`t ticked, my gauges black out after a few minutes. This doesn`t appear to be an option on the latest version so will I have problems with this? Help would be appreciated. Cheers
Pete Dowson Posted August 4, 2003 Report Posted August 4, 2003 I recently tried to update Radar Control, but the latest version of FSUIPC is required and the program won`t run without registration of FSUIPC. Is it Radar Contact you mean? I will assume it is ... Certainly Radar Contact has been accredited, and I know JD has incorporated the access key for FSUIPC 3. Maybe the "latest version" isn't the real latest, which is probably still in Beta. Sorry. You'd need to check in the RC support forum I think Anyway, if that is the case then, at least under FS2002, it won't need FSUIPC 3, your previous one would do. It is FS2004 which is the need for FSUIPC 3. Will registration mean that the new version of Radar Control will work? Yes. All FSUIPC compatible programs should work (as far as their FSUIPC interface is concerned) when you have registered. Only accredited ones work if you haven't. The latest update of FSUIPC only has two pages as opposed to about five with the old version. The other pages contain the User facilities which is what you are really paying for when you register. You'll see them all then. With my present set up, if the `extended battery` option isn`t ticked, my gauges black out after a few minutes. This doesn`t appear to be an option on the latest version so will I have problems with this? You get all the User facilities if you register, including the "magic battery" option (as I like to call it! :) ). Regards, Pete
