harm meertens Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 I have some problems in using FSUIPC Version 4.52. for assignment of joystick buttons. If I select the (registered) FSUIPC add-on in FSX it shows up quickly. If I select then a tab like ‘Key Presses’ is also comes instantly. The ‘Buttons+Switches’ tab, however, takes a varable but mostly very long time to show up. Also the selctions to be made in this ‘Buttons+Switches’ tab do not function properly (unusable). If I press a joystick button during waiting, a response is noticed, although the tab layout is still not completed. This phenomena started recently (a couple of days ago). Until then the module functioned properly. I tried various things like reinstalling FSUIPC. I even did a complete reinstallation of FSX, including FSX Acceleration , but no result. Closing the FSUIPC window after a long waiting time brings me back to FSX, which runs then properly, for instance with the PMDG MD-11X add-on. Nearly all my key-commands and axes are send to FSX trough FSUIPC. I also have made a number of mouse-macros and they were o.k. as well. Can someone give me a solution or a clue, where to look? Do I maybe have to repair the simConnect dll's? The operating system I use at present is Windows-7, 32 bits Kind regards. Harm Meertens, The Netherlands.
Pete Dowson Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 I have some problems in using FSUIPC Version 4.52 I'm afraid version 4.52 is out of date and has not been supported for several months. Can someone give me a solution or a clue, where to look? Do I maybe have to repair the simConnect dll's? I doubt it, as FSUIPC does not use SimConnect for reading any buttons or switches. It sounds like you have a bad joystick or joystick driver installed, possibly one not compatible with Windows 7. When you are using a supported version of FSUIPC and if you still have not solved the problem, come back and we'll investigate via Logging and so forth. Pete
