Recently when I try to start FS9 i have been getting a window pop up .."A debugger has been detected"

Unload the debugger and try again.....I have never encountered this before and have been unable to locate the ' debugger'

appreciate any assistance you can offer with this

I am using Vista ultimate and have had FS9 and FSX both installed and running until this glitch woth loading FS9 has surfaced

I'm sorry, I've never heard of that. It sounds like something you've installed has some protection built in and is specifically guarding against being hacked into (one of the potential uses of a "debugger").

I'm afraid you've just need to try removing or stopping anything you've added, one at a time, till you find out what is doing it. Also check what processes are running, using the Windows task manager. Maybe you have an infected system? Do a virus scan too.
