schroewo Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 Hi, after running makerwys the airport MN76 is missing in all csv files but it is listed in the runways.txt file: Airport MN76 :N45:18:59.8593 W093:49:00.8995 940ft City Name="Monticello" Airport Name="Joyner" in file: Scenery\0201\scenery\APX22150.bgl Runway NW-SE /SE-NW centre: N45:19:00.1833 W093:49:06.7864 940ft Start NW-SE : N45:19:01.0255 W093:49:23.6924 940ft Hdg: 94.0 true Computed start NW-SE : Lat 45.316959 Long -93.823414 Start SE-NW : N45:18:59.3410 W093:48:49.8806 940ft Hdg: 274.0 true Computed start SE-NW : Lat 45.316479 Long -93.813686 Hdg: 94.000 true (MagVar 4.000), GRASS, 2500 x 80 ft *** Runway *** MN760390 Lat 45.316959 Long -93.823418 Alt 940 Hdg 90 Len 2500 Wid 80 *** Runway *** MN760430 Lat 45.316479 Long -93.813683 Alt 940 Hdg 270 Len 2500 Wid 80 FSM A/P MN76, lat=45.316631, long=-93.816917, alt=940 Any idea what goes wrong? The bgl file seems to be ok because I can open the airport in the Airport Design Editor. Oh, I'm using FSX. Kind regards Wolfgang
Pete Dowson Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 after running makerwys the airport MN76 is missing in all csv files but it is listed in the runways.txt file: Is this default scenery? FSX or FS9? Are there any later entries, deleting it? Possibly its runways aren't of the standard stipulated for Radar Contact so don't feature in the RC CSV files? Is that what you want it for, Radar Contact? Hdg: 94.000 true (MagVar 4.000), GRASS, 2500 x 80 ft *** Runway *** MN760390 Lat 45.316959 Long -93.823418 Alt 940 Hdg 90 Len 2500 Wid 80 *** Runway *** MN760430 Lat 45.316479 Long -93.813683 Alt 940 Hdg 270 Len 2500 Wid 80 Short grass runways aren't used much with IFR flights. They may be eliminated because of that. I don't remember asll the criteria Radar Contact wanted at present. Perhaps if you explained your problem? Regards Pete
schroewo Posted January 12, 2010 Author Report Posted January 12, 2010 Hi Pete, I'm using the default FSX scenery with UTX and GEX. I don't use RC4 but PFE and PFE needs the .csv to build up its database also. The problem was that I was not able to compile a (VFR) flight plan with MN76 as the departure airport. In the meantime I've contacted the author of PFE and he said, that the airport MN76 exits in the database so that makerwys seems to work fine for PFE. I was just suprised that MN76 was not in the .csv files so I guessed that the missing airport could be one of the possible reason. Kind regards and thanks for your help Wolfgang
Pete Dowson Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 I'm using the default FSX scenery with UTX and GEX. I don't use RC4 but PFE and PFE needs the .csv to build up its database also. The problem was that I was not able to compile a (VFR) flight plan with MN76 as the departure airport. I've looked at my results for FSX and the file "Runways.csv" definitely contains MN76. Here are the entries: MN76,0390,45.316959,-93.823418,940,90,2500,0MN76,0430,45.316479,-93.813683,940,270,2500,0 Which csv file did you look at? I guessed that the missing airport could be one of the possible reason. But missing from where? Regards Pete
schroewo Posted January 13, 2010 Author Report Posted January 13, 2010 Sorry, I should read first and then ask :-( But after creating and converting over 100 flight plans for my North American Sightseeng Tour I get crossed eyes at midnight. Found the aiport now in the right csv file as listed in the readme.txt. Sorry Wolfgang
