GPI Steve Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 I installed radar contact 4 today and it has given me nothing but problems, I have fs9 and fsuipc v3.9. I have a hardware cockpit consisting of various opencockpits and goflight modules. I fly pmdg 737 exclusively. When i try to program vr insight cdu it conflicts with rc4 as if sending keyboard commands. With o/cockpits mcp and efis certain dials and switches are either causing conflict the same as cdu or not workinfg at all. As soon as i stop rc4 and reload fs9 everything is fine and all works as it should. I know it has to do with the keyboard commands conflicting with each other but im afraid i have that much stuff installed and working through fsuipc that each time i have tried to give radar contact a different key assignment for the various commands i just cause something else to act strange. How can i re-assign the 8 or so keyboard commands in radar contact and be sure im not using an already in use key combination. Is there a way to do it ? TIA for your help. Steve A
Pete Dowson Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 I installed radar contact 4 today and it has given me nothing but problems You are in the wrong place. RC has its own support forum. How can i re-assign the 8 or so keyboard commands in radar contact and be sure im not using an already in use key combination. Is there a way to do it ? I have no idea what key combinations you have for other programs. I use a lot of programs and I have RC commands assigned to Ctrl+Shift+whatever they have by default. So, for instance, "1" becomes ctrl+Shift+1. I assign buttons to them all in any case so it doesn't matter if they are difficult to finger on the keyboard. The "SuperATC" free addon to convert spoken commands to RC commands also assumes you do as I do. And the payware one, "ItsYourPlane" which i use. Regards Pete
GPI Steve Posted January 23, 2010 Author Report Posted January 23, 2010 Ok Thanks Pete for the speedy response, I'll look into the voice recogtion addons and maybe i should post this in the correct rc forums.

I notice you posted in the MyCockpit forums. The RC support forum is actually over in Avsim, here: http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showforum=135 Pete
