GARYIRV Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 Recently I upgraded from fsuipc4 version 4.06 to fsuipc4 version 4.60. Now FSX will no longer load. The FSX splash screen comes up like it is trying to load then quits and goes back to desktop. If I remove the fsuipc4.dll file from the modules folder from FSX then FSX will load ok but no fsuipc4 in the addon section. My fsuipc4 is registered and I use Microsoft XP home. I have tried reinstalling fsuipc4 version 4.60 several times but that did not help. Thanks for any help. Pete Dowson Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 Recently I upgraded from fsuipc4 version 4.06 to fsuipc4 version 4.60. Now FSX will no longer load. The FSX splash screen comes up like it is trying to load then quits and goes back to desktop. Sounds like the bug in SimConnect's "trust" check is being invoked. We'll probably need to change the order in which your DLL's are being loaded via the DLL.XML file. Alternatively you could temporarily rename your existing DLL.XML file, then re-run the FSUIPC installer. Run FSX and get FSUIPC 'trusted'. Then you can close FSX and restore your previous DLL.XML file. You'll find DLL.XML in this folder: C:\Documents and Settings\Gary\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX\ Regards Pete
GARYIRV Posted May 6, 2010 Author Report Posted May 6, 2010 Thanks Pete, what you said to do fixed it.
