chairman Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 What is the correct way to add an aircraft to a profile ? At the moment I'm assigning it to a new profile with a single custom button then editing the fsuipc.ini file to move that aircraft into the profile I want (and delete the remaining traces of the new profile). Then restart FSX and away we go It works but it's not elegant. Is there an easier way ? Thanks Gary
Pete Dowson Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 What is the correct way to add an aircraft to a profile ? Check the profile specific selection and choose the profile from the list which drops down, or create a new one using that selection. There's actually a picture in the User Guide showing you. Did you not look? See the section headed For users already having Aircraft Specific settings At the moment I'm assigning it to a new profile with a single custom button then editing the fsuipc.ini file to move that aircraft into the profile I want (and delete the remaining traces of the new profile). Then restart FSX and away we go Well, that seems to defeat the whole point of me adding the facility to make things easier for you! How weird. It works but it's not elegant. Is there an easier way ? The way it is designed to be used and documented to be used, of course. The same way as you create and name profiles in the first place. Please have a look for the FSUIPC User Guide sometime soon. You may find it interesting! ;-) Pete
