sky30394 Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 I was trying to install FSUPIC4 and recieved this error message, "Problem! My signature check fails on the installed FSUPIC4.DLL. Please check that I am not listed as an 'untrusted publisher' in Enternet Explorer." There were no publishers listed as "untrusted publishers." When I checked. Here is what the log said. Pete Dowson Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 I was trying to install FSUPIC4 and recieved this error message, "Problem! My signature check fails on the installed FSUPIC4.DLL. Please check that I am not listed as an 'untrusted publisher' in Enternet Explorer."There were no publishers listed as "untrusted publishers." When I checked. But the signature check must have failed, nevertheless. Maybe you've disabled some of the Windows services needed? In particular trust verification needs the cryptographic service. Checking if there's already a version of FSUIPC4 installed in: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\FSUIPC4.DLL ... Version 4.600 found. Seems you have installed it before? What happened last time? After it got to that point, the error appeared. I would appreciate any and all help on this. Thanks! Unfortunately you've cut off the last lines of the Installer log file which would have included the error number. The DLL would still be installed in the FSX Modules folder, along with the complete Install log. If you right-click on the DLL and check Properties-Digital Signatures you should find more information. It may simply be that you have a corrupted download. Check the signature on the Installer EXE file. Regards Pete
sky30394 Posted June 19, 2010 Author Report Posted June 19, 2010 Thanks for your vert prompt response. So the problem I am experiencing may not even be extant?
Pete Dowson Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 Thanks for your vert prompt response. So the problem I am experiencing may not even be extant? Not extant? No, it is "extant" in the sense it exists. It is just that there's insufficient information in your submission for me to advise further, which is why I prompted for more. Pete
