HAS657 Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 Hello Pete Excuse me if my English is not perfect. I am a Frenchsimmer, I do not dominate your language very well. I flight with FSX On 12 August 2007, I bought FSUIPC4 (V 4.152) The software registration key is as follows: name = Jean-Marie SALAÜN email address = salaun.jm @ orange.fr with the key of 12 characters. Yesterday, November 10, 2010, I bought WIDEFS7 for the use of two networked PCs. Order No. 679978 Customer No. 190956 But I made my order with a difference on the name name = Jean-Marie SALAUN (U instead of Ü) and a difference on the email address: email address = salaun.jm @ wanadoo.fr. I have receive my registration key with 12 characters. But, I can not save my key WIDEFS7 because obviously the recording software does not accept records with names and addresses different for FSUIPC4 and WIDEFS7 and even if they were purchased separately What I do? I apologize if this question has already been asked. Thank you for your prompt response Best regards HAS657
Pete Dowson Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 But, I can not save my key WIDEFS7 because obviously the recording software does not accept records with names and addresses different for FSUIPC4 and WIDEFS7 and even if they were purchased separately All current versions of FSUIPC accept different email addresses, but accepting different names as well would be going too far. What I do? The quickest way normally would be to raise a problem ticket with SimMarket and explain that you miss-spelled your name and could they please issue a revised registration. Regards Pete
HAS657 Posted November 11, 2010 Author Report Posted November 11, 2010 Good evening Pete Thank you very much for your prompt response. I have sent a ticket to Simmarket to explain the situation. I have received a new key with the same name and the same email address that FSUIPC4. My problem is solved. Now I've got to make the connection with WideFsClient. FSX is installed with W7, my second PC is XP pack3. I hope it's possible! For now, I have not managed to run WideFSClient. May be I still need your help! Thank you very much. HAS657
Pete Dowson Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 FSX is installed with W7, my second PC is XP pack3. I hope it's possible! That's what I use -- FSX on Win7, 6 clients on XP. For now, I have not managed to run WideFSClient. Perhaps that's because there's no program called "WideFSClient". You need to run "WideClient.exe", and you can do that by double-clicking on it, just like any other EXE program! Pete
