StuartWhelan Posted August 14, 2003 Report Posted August 14, 2003 Hi Pete, I was wondering if you have seen anything in your investigations regarding the failing of individual gear? I can 'fail' all the gear by writing zero or non-zero to 0xbe8 and forcing the gear control, but writing to the individual gear positions at 0xbec and on apears to have no effect, I assume FS is just discarding them. Also, have you seem anything regarding the amount of force feedback being applied on controls, like yoke or rudder? Cheers! Stuart.
Shuval Posted August 14, 2003 Report Posted August 14, 2003 I have the same problem. I found that FS can fail the gear when bad landing occur. There are no visual feedback, the specific gear stop responding to the gear control. I really would like to be able to do the same in fsuipc. I think it involves manipulating acontain.dll not sure.
Pete Dowson Posted August 14, 2003 Report Posted August 14, 2003 I was wondering if you have seen anything in your investigations regarding the failing of individual gear? No, sorry. I can 'fail' all the gear by writing zero or non-zero to 0xbe8 and forcing the gear control, but writing to the individual gear positions at 0xbec and on apears to have no effect, I assume FS is just discarding them. They are merely read-outs, not controls. It isn't that it discards them, it is merely that they are not inputs. I don't know really where in SIM1.DLL I could tap into any place which would control the individual wheels. Also, have you seem anything regarding the amount of force feedback being applied on controls, like yoke or rudder? Sorry, no. I've never known anything about force feedback at all. Regards, Pete
