Hi! Will the new version of FSUIPC install in Prepar3D 1.1?

Your subject title refers to 4.6, which is an old version which knows nothing about Prepar3D. The earliest version supporting Prepar3D was 4.638, but the current version 4.70 most certainly installs and works with the first release of Prepar3D. Was that 1.1 or is there a new release I don't know about?

I just looked on the Prepar3D site and see that 1.1 is new this month. No one has mentioned it before. I'll try to download it, but it will take a few days just to do that -- the ADSL speed here is miserable and I do have other things to get through as well.

Have you tried FSUIPC 4.70 with it at all? I've no idea what they might have changed which will affect FSUIPC.

Hi. Thanks for the almost instant response! I think they made changes to Simconnect? Version 4.638 returned an error message saying 'wrong version, you may need a file from Microsoft'. I have since had a refund so Prepar3D is not installed on my computer at the moment. When/if FSUIPC is compatable I will re purchase., I will wait and see what develops when you have 1.1 to try. Thanks for your time (and all your work over the years to make Flight Sim what it is.)

If it is only the version number changed it should be easy. But the reason for the version number check is to guard against complicated problems resulting from a mismatched interface. I should find out in a few days.

It was more that just the version number, but luckily the changes in all the places I hook into were easily trackable -- just moved a bit due to other changes in their code and the subsequent re-compilation.

So, version 4.70a is now available from the Download Links subforum and works with Prepar3D 1.1.
