I have been running FS9 for a long time with a full registration of fsuipc and working just fine. I decided to load FSX on to the same computer to see if I wanted to to switch and start using FSX instead. So after the install I flew awhile with FSX and decided I wanted to go online with vatsim and be able to utilize my Active Sky Software for weather but before I can do that I need FSUICPC4. I downloaded FSUIPC4 4.70 and installed it, now my FSX won't work. It will go to the splash screen for awile then revert back to the desktop and that is IT. Now if I delete the modules folder FSX will load and work just fine. Can someone please help me? Does it matter that I have both flight sims loaded on same computer??? Please help

Actually I don't think either needs FSUIPC. VATSIM programs Squawkbox4 and FSInn/FSCopilot don't use FSUIPC4, and neither does any recent version (ASX, ASE) of Active Sky, at least not with FSX.

Sounds like the SimConnect bug again. Please see this thread:

If you've already installed FSCopilot then it could possibly be a clash with that, though I think that was resolved in FSCopilot a while back.

Does it matter that I have both flight sims loaded on same computer?

No, that's totally irrelevant.
