RGulliver Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Hi Pete, In Buttons and switches and axis assignment we are able to Set Flap1, Flap2 or Flap3, however may aircraft developers who create swing wing aircraft such as the Panavia Tornado use the flap system to control the wing sweep aswell as the flap positions. They use the following for example' Flaps-position.0 wing sweep 68 degrees Flaps-position.1 wing sweep 45 degrees Flaps-position.2 wing sweep 25 degrees Flaps-position.3 maneuver flap Flaps-position.4 flaps mid Flaps-position.5 flaps down Would it be possible to incorperate into the next update the ability to asign from flap0 to flap5. I look forward to your response Richard
Pete Dowson Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Would it be possible to incorperate into the next update the ability to asign from flap0 to flap5. FS provides Flap1,2,3,incr,decr,up,down and set controls. These are sufficient. For example a 737 has 9 flaps positions yet cockpits are built which can successfully select any one of them. There's no other way FSUIPC can select flap positions than those methods actually provided by FS. If you don't want to use inc and dec methods, use Flaps Set. You can either have an axis with calibrated detentes, or simply assign Flaps Set to 6 buttons, each with a different parameter which selects the appropriate position (0 - 16384 divided equally). Pete
RGulliver Posted June 4, 2011 Author Report Posted June 4, 2011 Thanks Pete Will try flaps set and see what happens Cheers Richard
