fgheli Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 Hello Thank you for widefs and Fsuipc which made homecockpits possible. I recently upgraded to widefs 6.8.6 including wideclient.exe 6.8.6.and fsuipc 3.99 fsuip 3.99 runs fine under FS04. My homecockpit computers displaying instruments use Windows 2000 SP4 . Wideclient 6.8.6 is not launching any longer under Windows 2000. Program starts but shuts down immediately. Log file was not created. Is Windows 2000 not longer supported for the new widefs.? Kind regards Günther Vienna

Program starts but shuts down immediately. Ouch! I don't think i can support windows 2000 with any current versions. Is Windows 2000 not longer supported for the new widefs.? I've no idea, but it seems likely. There are so many new facilities since XP. I definitely support XP (from SP1), Vista, and Win7. There's probably some facility now needed which didn't exist way back then, but identifying it would be a bit of a problem. Pete
