I am having great difficulties. Last week I bought Radar Contact. I loaded it up and tried to fly with its unregistered copy of FSUIPC. Everything seemed to work until I hit the throttle on my Saitek Pro Flight Yoke -- nothing happened. Both the throttle and the prop were inoperative (trying to fly the Mooney Bravo). I thought this might be easy to fix if I register the built-in copy of FSUIPC. So, I paid the money, downloaded and installed the latest version. Tried to fly again, but this time FSX will not even open. I get the opening screenshot but the program does not load. The opening screen stays there with the hourglass until I eventually close FSX on the taskbar. XP then reports that FSX is not responding. I read about the SimConnect trust bug in the FAQ, but this isn't acting the way Peter described in his article. I have no other addons. Does anyone know of anything I can try short of reinstalling FSX? HELP!!!

Neither Radar contact nor FSUIPC can have any such effect.

Hmmm. Maybe a little bit hasty considering FSUIPC does nothing to FS in any case if unregistered.

I've never heard of a problem like that, but before trying to find out what is happening, could you please tell me what actual version of FSUIPC you are talking about ("latest version" is ambiguous, unfortunately -- I need the number), and also please try installing the true latest interim update (4.726) from the Download Links subforum, in case it makes a difference.

If there's still no success please paste here the content of any Log files (Instal log and possibly an FSUIPC4 log) from the FS modules folder.

Regards

Pete
