Hanging and errors :( help

I have had to do a clean install of fsx etc. when i install the install screen just hangs :(

Install info if that helps

Installer for FSUIPC4.DLL version 4.728

Looking in registry for FSX install path:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0

... >>> OK! FOUND FSX! <<< ...

Looking in registry for ESP install path:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft ESP\1.0

Parameter"AppPath"

Not there, so looking in:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft ESP\1.0

Parameter"SetupPath"

... NOT found! ...

Looking in registry for Prepar3D install path:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\LockheedMartin\Prepar3D

Parameter"AppPath"

Not there, so looking in:

FSUIPC4.DLL installed and signature checked out okay!

Deleted GlobalSign Root fix program ... no longer relevant

It isn't hanging, it finished successfully, as it clearly says.

BTW, if this was a "clean install", how come there was a very old version of FSUIPC4 already installed?

No sorry Pete :) the fsx screen is hanging when i start the game. If i remove the module file the game then loads. it didnt happen with previous version of FSUIPC sadly i have deleted that and install your latest.

Hmm. you said "when I install ..." and showed the Install log.

If FSUIPC4 isn't producing a Log file then it isn't even getting loaded by Simconnect. Please see http://forum.simflig...irst-installed/.

If there is a log, please show it to me. Usual reasons for such hangs include SimConnect mismatches, and corruption of WX files.

You managed to find and show the Install log. The run-time FSUIPC4.log is a similar file, and in the same folder.

Yes. And it shows a successful FSX session, albeit closed a minute or so after starting. There's no sign of any problem, certainly no "hanging and errors" per your thread title.
