Pete Dowson Posted September 29, 2011 Report Posted September 29, 2011 ok i have 2 joysticks rumble pad 2///and saitek wireless wich are only supported for fs9. could someone recommend a suitable fsuipc wich would enable my joysticks to work in fsx? There's only one FSUIPC for FSX, FSUIPC4, the current version of which is 4.70 (updated to 4.734 in the Download Links subforum). How come your joysticks don't work in FSX? As long as Windows recognises them, so will FSX. FSUIPC is not a joystick driver. If FSX doesn't see them, neither will FSUIPC4. I have an old Saitek wireless gamepad (a P3000), and that is seen the same way in both FS9 and FSX. It doesn't need any special drivers either. The Saitek rumble pad looks very similar (but of course it has force feedback as well), and Microsoft sites seem to say it doesn't need any special drivers. Pete
davidmd900 Posted September 30, 2011 Author Report Posted September 30, 2011 Hi pete my joysticks are for fs9 win xp there not supported in fsx just wounderd if your utility would do the trick but seems not. if i wanted to use them in fsx i would have to change my os to win xp pete. thanks for your reply. David.
Pete Dowson Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 my joysticks are for fs9 win xp Jopysticks aren't made for one program only. they have a general interface supported by many programs. there not supported in fsx just wounderd if yourutility would do the trick but seems not. Why does it "seem not", and why won't they work in FSX? That makes no sense. if i wanted to use them in fsx i would have to change my os to win xp But you can't change OS from winXP to WinXP, you just said you already used XP for FS9. FSX won't work in anything before XP in any case. Pete

Pete Dowson Posted October 1, 2011 Report Posted October 1, 2011 ok iam on the tarmac at egnj------------humberside all iam getting from the rumble pad is a sleight movement when puching the stick forward and back. thats all it wont lift and i cant move the middle button for camera view. strange. Sounds like it needs calibrating and it's buttons assigning. Such things aren't automatic. with the saitek the disc loads i can callberate it ok. What disk? If you are loading other software you need their support. You shouldn't need anything loading. Pete
