Pete Dowson Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 ... but my ailerons and elevator didnt. elevader does move but without hardly any travel either direction. the ailerons dont move at all. i did exactly what the tutoril said for the exception of the airplane. any ideas. I seem to have seen this same post before, just recently? I replied there, too. heres a copy of my ini profile. does anything look out of place or wrong. i dont know why the beech king is there It'll be there because you created a Profile for it. no one else can do it, unless you gave someone else access to your PC of course! The 737-800 profile only matches the "American 3" at present. If you change this: [Profile.Ifly 737-800] 1=ifly 737-800 American 3 To this [Profile.Ifly 737-800] 1=ifly 737-800 it should match all the iFly 800's. You omitted to include the [JoyNames] section, which is a shame as it shows which devices you've assigned for what, but: [Axes.Ifly 737-800] 0=0X,256,D,7,0,0,0 1=0Y,256,D,8,0,0,0 2=0Z,256,D,3,0,0,0 3=1X,256,D,22,0,0,0 4=1Y,256,D,4,0,0,0 5=2X,256,D,1,0,0,0 6=2Y,256,D,2,0,0,0 shows device 0 assigned to toe brakes and rudder, device 1 assigned to spoilers and throttle, and device 2 assigned to ailerons and elevator. So it appears there's a problem with that one device. Is it connected to an unpowered hub? The calibrations look reasonable (except you have no centre zone for elevator and rudder -- a small dead centre zone is usually pretty important for rudders when you have toe brakes as otherwise it is easy to move the rudder when braking. And also you need a better feet-off dead zone for the toe brakes to make sure you don't accidentally brake when using the rudder. Other than that it looks fine -- ypur problem must be with that device (aileron/elevator) or its connection. Pete
lowrunner Posted March 18, 2012 Author Report Posted March 18, 2012 sorry about the double post i didnt think it went thru. well it worked after i wrote that post, all i did was restart fsx and then went back into fsuicp and clicked on user spacific or something like that and chose my aircraft and woala it started working. i love how i have reversers on my throttles now, great program. that tutorial was from "samuri.net". sorry i dont know why i didnt use yours thanks for the fast response
lowrunner Posted March 19, 2012 Author Report Posted March 19, 2012 can i delete the beech king profile down to the ifly profile so i just have the ifly profile for now in the ini. ? also do i have to load my profile before every flight or should it automaticly load up by itself ? thanks
Pete Dowson Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 can i delete the beech king profile down to the ifly profile so i just have the ifly profile for now in the ini. Yes, of course. Delete the [Profile ...] section for it and any other [....] section with the same aircraft name in it. also do i have to load my profile before every flight or should it automaticly load up by itself ? It will automatically load according to the aircraft name. If you load an aircraft with a name which doesn't include, somewhere in it, and of those names listed in the [Profile...] section, then that profile won't be loaded for that aircraft. It is all fully automatic based on name recognition. If you listed just "737" it would match all 737's (unless of course a 737-800 was entitled "738" instead, as can happen)., Similarly, if you listed "iFly" it would match all aircraft with "iFly" somewhere in their name. And so on. The list of names can be as long as you like, but each must have successive line numbers. For efficiency, FSUIPC stops looking at the list with the first missing line number. When you manually select a Profile for a newly-loaded aircraft, FSUIPC adds the full name to that Profile list. It cannot abbreviate it for you, it doesn't know how. So you can either add each and every different aircraft to one Profile or another as you first load them, or edit the list with your own abbreviations to match them all. Please make sure you are using the latest version of FSUIPC ofr this -- there were some little problems with the mechansim earlier. The latest ones are 3.999g and 4.811. See the Download Links subforum. Regards Pete
