philldant Posted April 6, 2012 Report Posted April 6, 2012 I opened (attempted) FSX after several differnt flights. These were all done today with no other configuration of FSUIPC. My Saitek contollers (yoke, peddals and two quadrants were working great) Now I get the following popup and am at a loss to explain, I cannot attach it for some reason but to paraphrase: "Flight Simulator has detected a problem with a third-party software program (add-on)" It goes on to name the FSUIOC4 DLL and does not recommend using and to uninstall. Again I am at a loss because everything was fine just minutes before. I have restarted my computer and tried FSX again but the problem persists.
Pete Dowson Posted April 6, 2012 Report Posted April 6, 2012 "Flight Simulator has detected a problem with a third-party software program (add-on)" This is almost always due to a known problem in SimConnect and occurs before FSUIPC is even loaded, whilst SimConnect is verifying its credentials. Persistence pays, but you may need to re-boot the system. Please see the FAQ on this (FAQ subforum). Regards Pete
philldant Posted April 6, 2012 Author Report Posted April 6, 2012 Thanks Pete, I will try what was explained in the FAQ. I did click run amyway and am in FSX now. The fsuipc cfg seems to be functioning ok.
