Thomas321 Posted May 20, 2012 Report Posted May 20, 2012 Hello Pete, *FSX SP2* *FSUIPC 4.80* *WideFS 6.94* *Windows7 64bit*(FSX-PC) *Windows7 32bit*(Clients) attached WideClient.ini+FSUIPC.ini If FSX is fully up and loaded, it takes approx. 30 sec to start the App on the clients. If I use the "ShutdownHotKey=83,11" than it takes approx 12 sec. to start the App on the clients. I did not program any delay in the Wideclients [user] Section, nor did i change something in the Wideclients [Config] Section. Is there a setting in any .ini file, to reduce/set this time to start Applications on the Clients? Kind Regards, Thomas Wideclient.ini.zip
Pete Dowson Posted May 20, 2012 Report Posted May 20, 2012 *FSUIPC 4.80* *WideFS 6.94* 4.80 is superseded. There's also a later WideClient. See the Download Links subforum. If FSX is fully up and loaded, it takes approx. 30 sec to start the App on the clients. And? If I use the "ShutdownHotKey=83,11" than it takes approx 12 sec. to start the App on the clients. Sorry, I'm confused. The "ShutDownHotkey" sends a shutdown notification. What's that got to do with starting apps? Is there a setting in any .ini file, to reduce/set this time to start Applications on the Clients? No. why? There's a delay in the starting up of WideServer in the Server end, which is there deliberately to ensure everything is correct. Then there's an initial delay when Wideclient connects for it to get al the base information established. The latter may be shorter if you use UDP protocol and the BroadcastOnly method (using more up to date versions than yours), but that is probably only true when there are several clients -- it allows them al to get up to date at the same time using the same frames. I have 8 clients and it is much more efficient that way. But on a single client it probably wouldn't make any difference. What is the problem you want to solve? 30 seconds at the start of each day? I don't understand. I don't know why you supplied the INI file if you've not changed it? Logs would be more appropriate if you thought there was a problem, and it is easer really to simply paste them into your messages. Regards Pete
Thomas321 Posted May 20, 2012 Author Report Posted May 20, 2012 Sorry, I'm confused. The "ShutDownHotkey" sends a shutdown notification. What's that got to do with starting apps? I use this Hotkey to shutdown the apps on the client, if there are errors occuring. After 12 seconds the apps start again, so this is ok. I thought there is a setting in the .ini file which i didn´t figure out. Thank you, Regards, Thomas
