Mike-D Posted August 4, 2012 Report Posted August 4, 2012 Hello, Pete. I recently purchased FSUIPC4 (today) and I was a little disappointed to find there is no longer a Taxi Wind Control setting. Yes, I have been away from the flight sim community for a very long time and I last was running FS 2002 which had said option. It is my opinion that controlling the wind while the aircraft was on the ground was much more realistic and I'm wondering if there is a way to set FSX up that way. It seems like even after touching down the plane still reacts to wind like it's in the air and I remember your Taxi Wind Control option took care of that very nicely. Thanks in advance for your help.
Pete Dowson Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 Hello, Pete. I recently purchased FSUIPC4 (today) and I was a little disappointed to find there is no longer a Taxi Wind Control setting. It isn't really possible in FSX due to the different way SimConnect handles the weather. Additionally the ground effects do seem a bit better than in FS9. FSX was left partially developed. Facilities needed in SimConnect were promised but never fulfilled before MS shut down developments. Sorry, Pete
