B00ne Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 Hello, I'm fly in a Homecocokpit with PM-Systems. And i would like to extend the Systemlogig. For that i've writen a litte Visual-Basic Tool. This Tool should Reduce the Engine-power e.g. if I set the Pack on. I think the Best way is If i can reduce the Engine-Performance without change the N1 or N2 value. But i think this is in FS2004 not Possible ( Or is it?) For Alternate i want use the Throttle-Offesets but this Functional only if i have the Autothrust off. Iam looking for a Offset which i can use to manipulate the Enginetrust in both Situations ( with Autothurst and manual Flight) Thanks for help Daniel
Pete Dowson Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 Hello, You posted the same message twice in the space of 4 minutes. Please don't. I get to them as i can. This Tool should Reduce the Engine-power e.g. if I set the Pack on.I think the Best way is If i can reduce the Engine-Performance without change the N1 or N2 value. But i think this is in FS2004 not Possible ( Or is it?) I'm not an expert on the aurcraft innards, but I don't think so. I don't think there's anything writeable -- most of the vlaues relating to power and thrust are derived values, not inputs. For Alternate i want use the Throttle-Offesets but this Functional only if i have the Autothrust off.Iam looking for a Offset which i can use to manipulate the Enginetrust in both Situations ( with Autothurst and manual Flight) You'd probably need to switch the autothrottle off and simulate whatever it would do in those circumstances. Maybe Herve Sors can help you. Try over in the AVSIM aircraft design forum. You questions really defeat my knowlege of the sim's innards. Regards Pete
B00ne Posted October 6, 2012 Author Report Posted October 6, 2012 Sorry for write Messages Two Times . is was not my Intentions. I will Try in the AVSI-Forum Thnx Daniel
hsors Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 There is not a single FSUIPC offset that can change turbine engine thrust (and most are designed to be read only). Effective engine thrust is only determined, from throttle position, by engine characteristics, atmospheric data and several lookup aircraft tables that are defined in the aircraft.cfg and air files. These parameters can only be changed by editing the files appropriately Except for the throttle command, the only switch I know about that is able to decrease engine thrust (on some models) without change in the trottle position is the structural/engine deice command A short summary of the process is available here http://www.mudpond.org/jet_flow_chart.pdf
B00ne Posted October 7, 2012 Author Report Posted October 7, 2012 Thank you for Help and the file. I think i must read FS9-SDK to change the AIRFILE. I hope that all change in this File be effective immediately. Not after Restart FS - This was bad :-). Thank you Again and a Nice Sunday Daniel
