No control devices visible in FSUIPC. Ini file

Recommended Posts

I've been using recently FS 2004 with Windows 7 and although I had considerable experience with FSUIPC, I can not yet solve the following problem.

If I want to program handles and buttons then sorts no effect, but that's actually bed because FSUIPC recognizes the control devices is not what it appears as you can see from the first lines of the FSUIPC. Ini file;

[JoyNames]

AutoAssignLetters=No

0=Unknown Device #0

1=Unknown Device #1

2=Unknown Device #2

With Windows XP, I had not that problem as you can see;

[JoyNames]

AutoAssignLetters=No

0=Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals

2=CH THROTTLE QUADRANT

1=CH FLIGHT SIM YOKE USB

If I go to the FSUIPC Install. Login look I see something strange, and that is that apparently only FS9 found FS9.1 and while I really FS9.1've also installed;

Installer for FSUIPC.DLL version 3.93

Looking in registry for FS9.1 install path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\9.1

Parameter"EXE Path"

Not there, so looking in:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\9.1

Parameter"EXE Path"

... NOT found! ...

Looking in registry for FS9 install path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\9.0

Parameter"EXE Path"

... >>> OK! FOUND FS9! <<< ...

===========================================================

INSTALLATION FOR FS9:

EXE Path="D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9"

Checking if there's already a version of FSUIPC installed in:

D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Modules\FSUIPC.DLL

... No previous valid version found.

Okay -- installed FSUIPC into "D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Modules\FSUIPC.DLL"

Now installing additional files into the Modules folder:

Installed "FSUIPC User Guide.pdf" okay

Installed "FSUIPC for Advanced Users.pdf" okay

Installed "FSUIPC History.pdf" okay

Installed "List of FS2004 controls.pdf" okay

Installed "GlobalSign Root.exe" okay

Installed "FSUIPC Lua Library.pdf" okay

Installed "FSUIPC Lua Plug-Ins.pdf" okay

Installed "Lua License.pdf" okay

Installed "Example LUA plugins.zip" okay

FSUIPC.DLL installed and signature checked out okay!

Deleted GlobalSign Root fix program ... no longer relevant

===========================================================

All installer tasks completed okay!

Registration check for FSUIPC was successful! (result code 00)

*************** End of Install Log ***************

Meanwhile, the control device is detected, the axes can I assign and then calibrate but when I instance the leftist lever on my CH Yoke've programmed and want to use it will jump if I push back the lever forward to the idle position .

In the meantime, everything is dissolved.

With Windows XP, I had everything connected to the USB hub of my IIYAMA Vision Master Pro 454 monitor.

Now I have Windows 7 I thought convenient to everything being by connecting it to a separate USB 2.0 hub, this did not work and after I had everything connected to the USB hub of the screen I could set everything back.

Still curious that the hardware can affect the software, I find it strange that this phenomenon occurs especially considering the fact that the Windows game controllers are recognized just as in FS.

Another curious fact is that when I start my computer and go to FS the control devices do not work.

If I FS and Windows shutdown and then restart both the control devices are working.

Still curious that the hardware can affect the software,

The software is merely reading what it sees from the USB interface in Windows. Possibly the hub you were trying to use was not powered, or insufficiently powered. Or else faulty in some way. All software is dependent upon the hardware it is trying to use, of course.
