AaIiGee Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 The problem is that I can't record macros in virtual cockpit but they are working fine in 2D cockpit. Making macro box dosen't even show up in VC. I have recorded some macros earlier, but maybe that was before I was using TH2GO; could it be a reason for my problem? I'm using W7 64 bit. Thank you in advance!
AaIiGee Posted October 31, 2012 Author Report Posted October 31, 2012 Maybe my diagnosis was wrong or the symptoms are changed… I tried to create macros once a more; now I can create some macros in any cockpit form of Mooney Bravo, but nothing happens in other aircrafts. Strange, I would say… However, in Mooney I can record macros for e.g. air brake, radios, but not for lights. I don’t understand this at all!
Pete Dowson Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 I don’t understand this at all! Assuming you mean "mouse macros", then it all depends on how the gauges were written. The technique involves finding and hooking into the actual code, and for many gauges there either isn't any such code 9only interpreted XML) or the gauge has been written with no regard to the standards laid out in the C/C++ gauge SDK. Most Microsoft gauges aren't compliant at all in most areas. However, mostly they do obey the FS controls, so it is less important for default aircraft. Pete
AaIiGee Posted November 5, 2012 Author Report Posted November 5, 2012 OK, so it's just normal that I can't record any mouse macros eg. in default FSX Bombardier CRJ700 cockpit?
Pete Dowson Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 OK, so it's just normal that I can't record any mouse macros eg. in default FSX Bombardier CRJ700 cockpit? Yes, probably, though I've not tried anything in that aircraft -- but for the default aircraft you should find the FS controls adequate, and especially for simple things like light switches. Pete
