Jim P Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 What should makerwys.exe do if there are more than one bgl file with the same airport runway data in it. I have KIAD from Blueprint installed and makerwys wasn't locating the extra runway. I renamed the default FSX bgl file with KIAD runway data in it and after that makerwys found the extra runway data.
Pete Dowson Posted January 14, 2013 Report Posted January 14, 2013 Apologies for the delay in replying. As announced, I have been away on holidays. What should makerwys.exe do if there are more than one bgl file with the same airport runway data in it. It processes data in exactly the same way as FS does -- i.e. in order of the layers in the SCENERY.CFG file, and obeying any DELETE commands included to remove earlier values. I have KIAD from Blueprint installed and makerwys wasn't locating the extra runway. That would only happen if you placed the new layer lower than whatever else is providing it. I renamed the default FSX bgl file with KIAD runway data in it and after that makerwys found the extra runway data. Check the Runways.txt file generated by MakeRunways -- it is a huge file but it contains the complete analysis of what it sees. Search on the airport ICAO code and see what is going on. Also, always make sure you are using an up-to-date version. The program has been regularly updated. See Download Links subforum. Pete
