Flybe Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 What are he effects of the slop setting on the throttle?
Pete Dowson Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 What are he effects of the slop setting on the throttle? "Slope" you mean? Really not much use on throttles unless you want finer control at lower settings, for taxiing for example. Pete
Flybe Posted February 23, 2013 Author Report Posted February 23, 2013 Ok. I have one more question about the throttles. On takeoff, When I advance the throttles to 40% N2 then press the TOGA, if i don't move the Physical throttle throttles from the 40% Position, the throttles advance super slow and by time the ENGs are at TO power I'm haft way down the RWY, or they don't don't advance at all. Is there a way to fix this?

I don't have motorised throttles, unfortunately, so i always advance them to the designated N1 whilst TO/GA is doing the same. All of the airliner cockpit videos i've seen show the pilots doing the same, even with mororised throttles (i.e. keeping their hand on the levers). you do NOT let go of the levers till AFTER V1, in case of RTO.
