I am looking at installing nad regestring FSUIPC so that I may use it to calbrate my Seitek Yoke.

The question I have is once I have FSUIPC installed and registered, can I still use SimConnect to connect FSX to my addon programs (FSRealWX and GMap for now) in my second computer?

At what point shoud I be using WideFS?

Yes of course. SimConnect is independent of FSUIPC, and FSUIPC actually uses SimConnect for many things.

You'd only buy WideFS if you wantred to run FSUIPC-using applications on a separate PC. You don't need it for SimConnect applications.

What I understand from that answer is that if I install an application on my second computer that will only run using FSUIPC, or that I wish to use FSUIPC to comunicate with FSX, then I need Wide FS.

Therefore, as long as the program on my second computer can use SimConnect to comunicate with FSX, then I don't need Widw FS.

Did I understand correctly?

Yes. WideFS merely extends the FSUIPC interface to networked PCs, so it is really only useful for programs actually using FSUIPC's interface. It can be used to have some hardware on networkwed PCs, like buttons and switches, linked to FSUIPC too, and for a "button screen" on a touch screen, but this would be an unusual and specialist use.

Reading your last responce about buttons and switches on network PC, one thing came to mind.

By having squakbox on my second computer, could I use wide FS to use a button on my yoke to activate the PPT on my second computer?

Yes, that's one of its functions, and in fact there's a special assignable FSUIPC control which will do this automatically (PTT).
