Wrongway Posted June 23, 2013 Report Posted June 23, 2013 I have the latest FSUIPC installed in FSX along with LINDA. LINDA is mainly for the VRinsight MCP Combo, but I tend to use it for most controller button functions. I have a number of controllers. There is the MCP Combo, Saitek Pro yoke and associated throttle/rudders, Logitech Extreme 3D pro, Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog and even a Razer Sabretooth XBOX type controller that works with a PC. I know that I can use these independently on different aircraft and FSUIPC will know which goes with which. But what I would like to be able to do is have an aircraft that might have say the MCP Combo and Saitek yoke usually assigned to it but also the ability to use say the Razer controller or the Logitech 3D pro when I want to do a short flight without installing all the other gear. Other than making multiple copies of an aircraft I am not sure how this can be done. If this is the only way, I don't think I can make multiple copies of aircraft like the PMGD 737NGX. Any suggestions appreciated, preferably still using FSUIPC and LINDA.

You can only do it with multiple aircraft NAMES. It isn't about making copies of folders and so on, only editing the AIRCRAFT.CFG file to add another version, just like another livery. For example, in that CFG file there will be a number of sections headed like so: [fltsim.0] title=Boeing 737-800 Paint1 ... Just make a copy of the complete section like that for the aircraft you want, and paste it in as [fltsim.N] where N is the next unused number. Then edit the title to distinguish it. eg for the default 738: [fltsim.6] title=Boeing 737-800 Paint1 Controls 2 Regards Pete
Wrongway Posted June 23, 2013 Author Report Posted June 23, 2013 Thanks Peter, that makes a lot of sense. I haven't delved into the aircraft.cfg file before.
