Hi Peter

Recently installed new unregistered version of FSUIPS for fs9  to use with my PMDG 747 Queen of Skies on Windows 7

Have removed all copies of FSUIPS from my Modules file  can't find location of any other FSUIPS files to remove, yet FS is now blocked with prompt

"There seems to be duplicate copies of FSUIPS installed or another running please remove from your modules file"

Would be grateful for your advice please, or where other files may possibly be located which need removing

            Many Thanks

There are no files of mine called "FSUIPS", so it sounds like you are looking for the wrong thing.

If there are no copies of FSUIPC.DLL in either the FS Modules  or the main FS folder, then it cannot possibly run and therefore cannot possibly give you any message.

If there is a proper installation of FSUIPC.DLL in the Modules folder, and nowhere else, then the only reason you can possibly get a similar message (referring to FSUIPC, not FSUIPS) is that FS9 is still actually running from the previous session, so there's an FSUIPC still in memory. This can happen if something is preventing FS from closing normally. Check via the Windows Task Manager, and if necessary delete the FS9.EXE process.

If FSUIPC.DLL is actually running without existing anywhere then it is either some sort of miracle, or you have more than one FS installation and you are looking in the wrong places.

Pete

Many Thanks Peter  sorry of course referring to FSUIPC   after installing new FSUIPC 3.99z4  Unregistered version and clearing what I thought were all the olderr FSUIPC files I was having difficulty getting connection to FDC Live cockpit and with prompt received re: duplicates running, I attributed this to perhaps a contributory factor, but could not isolate other older files, so sought your advice.

Many Thanks for words of wisdom Pete

             Best Wishes
