RotoMotoMan Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 After updating back in May with FSUIPC, all has been good until the other night. I updated my Nvidia video card driver, and that seems to have gone without a hitch. All back nice again...full res. Same as before. Then when I launch FSX it takes forever, and then gives me pop up message that I screen captured in the attachment. In case you cannot see the attachment the exact wording for the error box is: Flight Simulator has detected a problem with a third party software program (Add-on) Name: FSUIPC4 DLL:FS new universal IPC interface Version:4.90 Company: Peter L. Dawson File: Modules\FSUIPC4.dll Do you want to run this software (Not recommended)? To avoid seeing this message in the future, un-install this program or disable it's ability to start when running Flight Simulator. For more information about third-party programs, contact the publisher or see http://www.fsinsider.com. You have two choices, YES and NO, if you say YES, it freezes FSX and it never loads. If you say NO, FSX loads right away, and all is well, except you cannot see it in the menu, and none of my Saitek panels work. I went back to the website, and downloaded FSUIPC again, and did the install, 4.90 says installed correctly! But still the same issue.
Ian P Posted July 11, 2013 Report Posted July 11, 2013 Have you read this thread under FAQ? http://forum.simflight.com/topic/68382-fsx-fails-to-run-after-fsuipc4-first-installed/Cheers, Ian P.
