In FS9 I have set the position and features of advdisplay.ini as follows:

[AdvDisplay]

Window=-446,560,440,202,-8454143,-5599873

Enabled=Yes

PositionLocked=Yes

HideWindow=No

AutoHide=No

AlsoATIS=No

MultiLineOnly=No

Scroll=Normal

Font=Arial,-13,0,400,0,0,0

When FS9 is shut down and then started up agian, advdisplay.ini is reset as follows:

[AdvDisplay]

Window=0,46,324,53,1,1

Enabled=No

PositionLocked=No

HideWindow=No

AutoHide=No

AlsoATIS=Yes

MultiLineOnly=No

Scroll=Normal

I'm a registered user of FSUIPC and realize that advdisplay is a free program, but it would be nice to have the setting saved and used when FS9 is first executed, or is there something that can be done to prevent the advdisplay.ini file from being reset.

Found it!

Sorry, it was a total blunder. I should have caught it before it went out -- what I thought was a simple change (avoiding the delay in subclassing the FS window, to try to reduce the probability of black screen problems) turned out to have nasty reprecussions. It actually stopped “Locked” settings from being remembered, and even prevented docking for panels in which it was not already docked!

Do NOT use 2.12 at all! Apologies for this mishap. I am releasing version 2.121 now, and attach a copy of the DLL only for your use.

Thanks for reporting this so promptly!

Regards,

Pete

Tried the new AdvDisplay 2.121 and all works great in FS9. Thanks for the quick response and fix.

Okay, thanks -- but I managed to muck it up for FS2002 and before, so 2.122 is now out -- see different thread.

Ah well, all's well that ends well! :o

Regards,

Pete
