I've started to have major problems with FSUIPC 4.928. It was all working nicely, but suddenly none of my control inputs are registering in FSX.

Axis assignment and calibration all seem to work ok. Odd thing is it seems like I've also lost the ability to assign aircraft-specific profiles as well. If I click the checkbox I get the "Do you want to apply the general assignments to this aircraft?" dialogue sometime followed by the "Do you want to save changes first?" box. No matter what I click the aircraft-specific checkbox will not populate, and no axis inputs go to the sim.

This only seems to be happening on the axis assignments page. The button programming page seems happy to let me use different aircraft profiles. Does anyone have any ideas? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, but no joy. I'm running FSX on Windows 8.0 64bit.

Software doesn't change by itself. It sounds like you've lost or deleted the settings in your INI file.

Hmm. So not all your settings are lost. So you have an INI file but with some conflicts or corruption. I'd need to see it.

So, only one section of your INI file is corrupted, which is good.

Uninstalling and reinstalling changes nothing whatsoever -- how can it? The settings are NEVER removed -- that would be disastrous for many folks who've spent a long time setting things up.

When "reinstalling" you should always use the current supported version -- you are out of date. 4.929 is current.
