FeelThere_Vic
Did you check the manual?
TheMikester
Uh...thanks. Found a manual in the basic operating file system where I normally never go. Also .txt files for airplanes and airlines. It seems to be what I was looking for although it's pretty unreconstructed/unformatted. Also only have airport frequencies in the London manual - where do I get the centre frequencies for hand offs? Is there a source of this information that is set up for use anywhere? Trying to fit all these papers on the desktop along with monitors, cables and what have you is quite a challenge. Thomasew
Hi Mike, They are in the \Tracon! 2012\Manual folder, .. in pdf format. There should be an image on the 1st page with the Handoff Sectors and their Frequencies. Cheers Tom
TheMikester
Hi Tom, Wow, I've found the program .txt files buried in the OS. There certainly is a lot of material to pull together...it's not exactly plug and play! Thanks for the help. Thomasew
Hi Mike Are you saying that you don't have a London/Lon/Lon2.pdf file? I bought London 1 (EGLL,EGKK) and then London 2 (EGGW,EGSS,EGLL) as separate addons. I have a Lon.pdf file and a Lon2.pdf file. As all 5 airports are in the London sector, .. the Handoff frequencies are the same. I've attached the Lon.pdf file to this post. Be advised, .. that the London West Handoff frequency indicates 126.7, .. however, it was set up as 126.07 in the sector data, with my addons. I edited my London sector to reflect 126.7 .. easy to do with the AirspaceEd.exe program. Cheers Tom -- * edit: Tom, please don't post copywrited material, thanks. -d.scobie (aka, scoobflight) --
TheMikester
OK thanks Tom. No sign of the .pdf file. WIth London Reloaded I got a 2 page .pdf called LON_REL.pdf which has the sectors and center frequencies, the waypoints/markers etc and the frequencies for the 5 towers. From a sales point of view, it's worth noting that I'm installing Tracon 2012; London Reloaded and Real Traffic plus the somewhat clunky MSoft speech utility. From a new user orientation viewpoint, this leads to a mess of paper and very slow start up. For example I've got several pages of the worlds airline codes and airlines, but no real idea of what I need for the London sector. Do I need Air Fiji? or Volaris? The Sector charts also have the 126.7 which keeps reporting that it is the wrong frequency - most puzzling when trying the play. Your post has fixed that point as well. Would it be a sensible idea to have a 'readme' file that tells the new user where to find all of that stuff? It sure would make life a lot easier if it could be done and might ultimately help with sales to newbies. Thanks again for your help. I'm now starting to use London haltingly.
