taufik jarrah Posted May 28, 2014 Report Posted May 28, 2014 Hi pete. I just purchased fsuipc and installed it. when I set the A380 from wilco up I found great difficulty to set up the axis of the saitek throttle. The Lever of Engine 1 and two was on the position CL witch is climb and no matter what I do is just could not move it from position CL. Lever 3 was okay and lever 4 was remaining always on position reverse thrust.I was doing the set up as a profile set up and at the end I proceeded offcorse with the calibration of the axis. what am I doing wrong Pete, any help is much appreciated. I found also that my saitek Radio/Multi/Bip/ and switch panels are not responding when I want to set up the Buttons with fsuipc Version 4.934 and wide server version 7.934, also any idea how to set up the saitek panels to respond with A380 from wilco. Fsuipc is Great power full interface but is new to me and i have a lot to learn how to use the max, capibility of it to get my FSX perfect and well running. Regards Taufik

Make sure your controls work correctly with a default aircraft first, AND first with normal setup in FS. FSUIPC only adds more precision, it does not do anything substantially different. ALWAYS make sure things are okay with everything normal first. Saitek controls seem to be very liable to incorrect or corrupt installations. If the levers are not all consistently working similarly then it is likely to be one of the all too frequent registry xcorruptions their devices seem sensitive to. I'm afraid I can't help with that -- you'll need to go to Saitek's support forum. I found also that my saitek Radio/Multi/Bip/ and switch panels are not responding when I want to set up the Buttons with fsuipc Version 4.934 and wide server version 7.934, also any idea how to set up the saitek panels to respond with A380 from wilco. Those Saitek devices are not supported directly by FSUIPC at all. They are completely non-standard. I think there's a program called SPAD which enables you to use the buttons in FSUIPC, but I cannot support either the devices nor SPAD. FSUIPC's support extends to all normal joystick type connections and GoFlight devices, but Saitek are no friends of mine I'm afraid. Regards Pete
taufik jarrah Posted May 29, 2014 Author Report Posted May 29, 2014 Hi Pete, can I enable the conrolles in fsx to see how every thing is behaving, because you said make sure every thing work with normal set up first in fsx. It will not intervier with fsuipc iam affraid or is okey. I was reading in your fsuipc manual that LUA This post explains how you can use a LUA routine to access the status of the buttons/switches/selectors/gear and flaps lever and trim wheel (herewith named collectively as Buttons) on 3 Saitek panels using FSUIPC and Linda. The first section presents a quick instruction to start gathering information based on lua program attached to this post. The second section gives a simple example of a Lua program that access the Saitek panel buttons status and select specific FSX/P3D actions accordingly. The third section goes more into the details about how this LUA programs was made. Do I have Lua routine in my fsuipc already included or I have to downloaded to fsuipc. Pete if that will make my buttons and switches in my saitek panel workingc I will appriciated to explane how to do it step by step sorry my english is terible. Regards Taufik

The Lua facilities built into FSUIPC do allow any USB-based HID device (HID = Human Interface Device) to be handled. It is a programming task though, and needs first an investigation into what the devices are returning and second the writing of the Lua code to do the job. LINDA is a package which I think does that job for you for some devices. I'm afraid I do not know if it already comes ready for the devices you have. LINDA is an add-on package which is not from me, and since I don't use it I know little about it. I think it has its own support forum and I would advise you to ask there. The program I mentioned, SPAD, is also a third party program, and I think this makes the Saitek switches and buttons visdible and programmable in FSUIPC.. That might be an easier option, but I don't know that program either. Regards Pete
taufik jarrah Posted May 30, 2014 Author Report Posted May 30, 2014 Hi Pete, thanks for your respond, my saitek panels are working well with the default fsx aircrafts, but when I use the A380 from wilco or the I 747-400 some buttons and swiches are not responding.is key presses in fsuipc designed to force those buttons witch are not working to make them to function or not please advise. Also Pete I asked you in the last email if I can enable the conrolles in fsx to see how every thing is behaving, because you said make sure every thing work with normal set up first in fsx. If I enable the controlls in fsx will not intervier with the settings I made with fsuipc iam affraid or is okay please advise. many thanks Taufik

FSUIPC interfaces to FS, not to individual add-ons. You need to find out how to operate those yourself. Maybe others have already solved the problems for those aircraft -- check the User Contributions subforum. .Also Pete I asked you in the last email if I can enable the conrolles in fsx to see how every thing is behaving, because you said make sure every thing work with normal set up first in fsx. If I enable the controlls in fsx will not intervier with the settings I made with fsuipc iam affraid or is okay please advise. For add-on aircraft it is unlikely that any default FSX controls will be any different from what you can do in FSUIPC, and in fact FSUIPC offers many more ways than FSX. The only likely conflicts you would get if you enable controllers in FSX is with axis assignments in FSUIPC, and possible duplicate button actions. All you would need to do to check FSX alone is temporarily move the FSUIPC4.INI file out of the FSX Modules folder so that FSUIPC will make a new, default, one with no assignments. When done just put the moved one back into the Modules folder. Pete
