ReeceMac1 Posted July 8, 2014 Report Posted July 8, 2014 Hi Pete, I appreciate that you have had many of people posting about this problem. However after looking through all of the threads and forums I could find RE FSUIPC to prevent the problem, I still have disconnects. I have registered version 4.934f after having 4.934. I went to the (f) version after a recent thread at the end of June 204 regarding the same problem. I have tried removing all axes from FSX itself and only using calibration and assignments through FSUIPC - but no joy. I also tried having only the throttle axes enabled in FSX as some users are reporting this as the safe thing to do especially with more complex payware such as NGX and Airbus Extended (which I fly most). I have attached both my .log and .ini contents for your review. If you can help me I would appreciate it so much. Pete Dowson Posted July 8, 2014 Report Posted July 8, 2014 I appreciate that you have had many of people posting about this problem. However after looking through all of the threads and forums I could find RE FSUIPC to prevent the problem, I still have disconnects. Sorry, but if you have indeed read all the relevant threads you will see that I repeatedly state that I know of no reason whatsoever why FSUIPC should solve any disconnect problems suffered in FS, because, as I explain, it uses the exact same facilities in Windows as FS. Those who say it helps or solves the problems must just be very lucky. The only thing FSUIPC does which FS doesn't is allow connections during a session, except if "AutoScanDevices=No" only when entering the appropriate options tab. (With FS you normally need to restart it). BTW I notice most folks reporting these problems are, like you, using Saitek devices. You also have a Logitech with duplicated aileron and elevator assigned -- do these axes also disconnect? I'd be interested to know if it is only Saitek drivers facing these problems. Regards Pete
ReeceMac1 Posted July 9, 2014 Author Report Posted July 9, 2014 Just done a flight with only my Logitech device connected through USB 3.0 port (have already tried on USB 2.0) but it seems that after a short freeze of fsx (which happened before removal of the saitek controllers) the controls are unresponsive. should I maybe delete the duplicated axes from the logitech? and how do I do this? Thanks

Ah, so it's not just Saitek. Just that there's probably a lot more Saitek stuff around than other makes. should I maybe delete the duplicated axes from the logitech? and how do I do this? No need. ReeceMac1 Posted July 9, 2014 Author Report Posted July 9, 2014 Currently flying the 737 default FSX aircraft and no disconnects! Could the be a payware problem on the AXE? Thanks
Pete Dowson Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 Currently flying the 737 default FSX aircraft and no disconnects! Could the be a payware problem on the AXE? Sorry, I just don't know, but I'd very much doubt it. The disconnect problems only seem to affect Win8 or 8.1 users, and then not all such users, and some users find FSUIPC assignment appears to fix the issue and others don't. My guess is that the disconnection is one of those timing related bugs somewhere obscure in Windows or its drivers and you are lucky sometimes, or you aren't, there are so many factors at work. I'm not deserting Win7 64-bit which has always served me well and in my opinion is most certainly the best version of Windows ever produced. Pete
