Downloaded FSUIPC4 4.938c from here so I could download it into P3DV2.4 since I here it's pretty much required for a lot of addons. When I use Install FSUIPC4, a file explorer window opens up and says "FSX or Prepar3D not found! Please locate and 'open' FSX.EXE or Prepar3D.EXE." I located the latter in my Data drive since the SSD everything else is installed on didn't have room for P3D. When I click on the file it is looking for, nothing happens and it just opens the file explorer again asking the same question.

Here's what it reads after clicking on Prepar3D.exe multiple times.

How do I fix this?

Oh dear. You are pointing it to Prepar3D when it it trying to find FSX. Look:

Looking in registry for FSX install path:
     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0
     Parameter"SetupPath"
... >>>  OK! FOUND FSX!  <<< ...
     SetupPath=D:\Flight Simulator\

According to your Registry you have FSX installed in D:\Flight Simulator. It needs to check the FSX.EXE, not the Prepar3D.EXE!

The Regstry also says you have Prepar3D v2:

Looking in registry for Prepar3D v2 install path:

     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2
     Parameter"SetupPath"
... >>>  OK! FOUND Prepar3D v2!  <<< ...
     SetupPath=D:\Prepar3D\

s if you cancel out of trying to install for FSX (which I assume you deleted without removing the Registry entries saying it is there!?) it should carry on and handle Prepar3D. Why are you aborting?

If you deleted FSX you should remove the Registry entries at

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0

Sorry to post this here but I have no where else to post this.

I need to contact Mr Pete Dowson to complain about the terrible support simMarket is providing for his software!

I looked everywhere and could not find a way to PM him.

Can you dear Pete PM me how to contact you?

Thank you.

SimMarket provide sales support for registered customers by them raising a problem ticket. It is not at all "terrible", it is just a different method.

If you want technical support with a product you ask via the appropriate support forum for the product. SimMarket do not provide technical support, you need to go to the correct place!
