Profiles folder and ini file question

Using FSUIPC Version 4.939 and P3D v2.5.

Can I copy  my old P3D v2.4 FSUIPC Profiles folder and the FSUIPC4.ini to the new p3d Modules folder or do I have to setup all aircraft axes / buttons etc. again to build new files?

Hi,

 

normally you can do this as long it is the same PC and all controller are in the same place (USB connectors). And of course all aircrafts do exist in the new version.

Don't forget to update to latest FSUIPC4 version that supports P3D v 2.5.

Initially I will not have all my aircraft installed ... after just installing P3D V2.5

 

I may have to wait for vendors to approve their aircraft in P3Dv2.5 before installing.

 

So, I must wait until all aircraft ar re-installed before using my old Profiles and ini file?

Hi,

 

just try and see what happens. It might be that FSUIPC ignores just the profiles for not existing aircrafts and only look for a profile when the aircraft is actually selected. Just give it a go, FSUIPC will not do any changes to P3D or its settings anyway.
