sando1 Posted February 14, 2015 Report Posted February 14, 2015 Hi, I have read a number of similar threads but have yet to find a conclusion. I have Fanatec CSP sim racing pedals which I wish to use in Prepar3D as rudder pedals (clutch and accelerator). These pedals have 2 axis, yet Prepar3D seems to only support 1 axis. They cannot be combined in the pedals drivers. I understand why flight sims support only 1 natively, and appreciate racing pedals fall short of actual rudder pedals and that only one pedal can be applied at any one time. That said, my setup does not allow for a 2nd set of more appropriate single axis rudder pedals, and using racing pedals in this fashion is still considerably more immersive than using the rudder function on my Saitek x52. I've tried some previous suggestions such as vJoy etc but so far without success. Does FSUIPC allow me to combine the 2 AXIS's into a single AXIS rudder pedal? Thank you
Pete Dowson Posted February 28, 2015 Report Posted February 28, 2015 Yes. You can assign both axes to Rudder, but manipulate the values being received to get 0 to -16383 on one an 0 to +16383 on the other. You do that by first assigning as usual in FSUIPC, but then edit the entries for the assignment, in the FSUIPC4.INI file, as described in the section "Additional parameters to scale input axis values", on page 44 of the FSUIPC4 Advanced User's guide. coturnix Posted July 12, 2016 Report Posted July 12, 2016 Hello I have tried assigning my racing pedals to the rudder as mentioned in this thread but i have run into a problem: one of the pedals does the 0 to +16383 just fine, but the 0 to -16383 works as it was inverted: full pedal is 0 and pedal released is -16383. Of course in the axis calibration page the rudder only shows as one axis, so if i invert it i fix one of the pedals but mess the other. I don´t know how to get out of this conundrum. Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.

Did you not read this in a message just a little earlier than yours: Quote edit the entries for the assignment, in the FSUIPC4.INI file, as described in the section "Additional parameters to scale input axis values", on page 44 of the FSUIPC4 Advanced User's guide. So, please see the Advanced Users guide for FSUIPC, the section "Additional parameters ..." it refers to is now on page 45. Is that why you didn't find it? Just use a sequence like *-1,-16383 The *-1 changes is to 0 to 16383, and the -16383 changes it to -16383 to 0. Pete
coturnix Posted July 12, 2016 Report Posted July 12, 2016 Thanks for the help, yes that part was the culprit. I didn´t understand it very well and the frustration just worsened things. Now i have my pedals working.
