stuarth Posted March 30, 2015 Report Posted March 30, 2015 For info, after an hour flight today FSX crashed with a G3D.dll error. Unfortunately I had reloaded FSX before thin to check the fsuipc log file. However below is the summary of 'appcrash'. Do you thin this error is likely to be fixed by Steam pending release? stuarth Posted March 30, 2015 Author Report Posted March 30, 2015 Pete, Further to my above post, Just noticed in appcrash that a couple of seconds before the G3D.DLL error it reported that FSX crashed with faulting module=mcvr80.DLL. Could this initial crash cause the subsequent G3D.DLL reported crash? Stuart
Pete Dowson Posted March 30, 2015 Report Posted March 30, 2015 For info, after an hour flight today FSX crashed with a G3D.dll error. Unfortunately I had reloaded FSX before thin to check the fsuipc log file. However below is the summary of 'appcrash'. Sorry, FSUIPC can only trap and fix one very specific G3D.DLL crash in FSX or FSX-SE. There are many others which cannot be so trapped. Just noticed in appcrash that a couple of seconds before the G3D.DLL error it reported that FSX crashed with faulting module=mcvr80.DLL. Could this initial crash cause the subsequent G3D.DLL reported crash? . Since you are using FSX-SE you'll probably find this error is already fixed in the next version (currently in Beta testing)., but nevertheless it would be very worthwhile reporting these details to DTG as they are very actively trying to fix all these things. It may just be one they missed. Regards Pete
