Hi,

I was hoping to get some assistance with my recent install of FSUIPC4 v4.9.3.7 I did a quick scan through the FAQ and on Google and wasn't able to find a resolution.

I recently reinstalled FSX Steam on a newly formatted drive. After installation I installed FSUIPC4. I didn't run into any issues during install, but when I launched FSX, it would crash after giving me an error message relating to FSUIPC4 - this was resolved using the FSUIPC4_Loader.dll in the install folder (as described in the FAQ).

However, when I launch FSX now, it appears FSUIPC4 does not initialize. What lead me to believe this was:

1. I do not have the FSUIPC4 listed as an Add-On in the FSX in-flight menu

2. My Saitek Panels (using SPAD) drivers do not initalize in FSX after running the SPAD.exe

I've tried a rerunning the FSUIPC4 installer a few times, but the results appear to be the same. I was hoping I may be able to get some guidance to resolve this issue.

Please let me know if you'd like me to provide any logs or additional information. I very much appreciate your help and support. Thanks.

And in your searches did you not notice that version 4.937 is well out of date and cannot support the current FSX-SE release? The only currently supported version of FSUIPC4 is 4.944. Please always check you are up to date before asking for support.

Please remove that from the Modules folder before installing 4.944. It is not needed with FSX-SE.

Next time, if you still have problems, please find the Log files which are produced in the Modules folder. There will be an Install log and, if FSUIPC4 does get to run, an FSUIPC4 Log. Paste the contents of these text files into your message here.

Hi Pete,

No, I never thought to check for a newer release - before reinstalling FSX Steam v4.9.3.7 seemed to be working as expected on my machine. I didn't realize it was not actually supported for FSX Steam. However, installing v4.9.4.4, as you suggested, did resolve my issue. I appreciate you taking the time to point that out to me. Thank you.
