WotanUK Posted October 6, 2015 Report Posted October 6, 2015 Hey Pete, I have a little problem with FSUIPC and P3Dv3. Running 4.496, can bind key presses with no problem. Have my axis defined in P3D, working fine. When i try to tweak the axis within FSUIPC it doesn't pick the axis up. So for example i cannot set my throttle up within FSUIPC or yoke. Any ideas? Thanks for your help. Ian

Where are you assigning and to what controls? What do you mean by "tweak the axis"? BTW the version you should be using is 4.946. i assume your 4.496 was a typo? Pete

Well to explain, i have assigned the yoke, rudder and throttle axis within P3D, no problems, they are all working. In the past i have then gone into the FSUIPC application, into Joystick Calibration and attempt to set the parameters up within the application and filter the axis. But FSUIPC cannot see anything with my controls, it doesn't process the axis on any of the controllers, but again, they are working fine within P3D. Thanks Pete Ian

This is a fairly well known problem which seems to have become more common with Windows 8 and even more so with Win 10. The installers (especially those from Saitek, but not exclusively) don't appear to be assigning joystick IDs in the Registry. FSUIPC depends on these. There's a thread on this in the FAQ subforum here, which explains a way to get around this. Pete
WotanUK Posted October 6, 2015 Author Report Posted October 6, 2015 That didn't work Pete, however, i got it working by manually assigning the axis within the FSUIPC program, i don't recall ever having to do that before. I disabled the controller assignment within P3Dv3 and it seems OK now.

If FSUIPC doesn't see the axes then it cannot assign them! You always need to disable controllers in the Sim if you are assigning in FSUIPC. Pete
WotanUK Posted October 7, 2015 Author Report Posted October 7, 2015 Hi Pete, I believe you have already found the root issue in your notice at the top of the forum. Sorry for my poor explanation.
