Hello,

I'm a long time X-Plane user just came over to P3D after obtaining an older serial PFC Cirrus II.  I got it working mostly in P3D using PFCFSX.DLL and FSUIPC.  I have a few issues and not sure if it's my hardware or what.  The RIC module that lets me set the CRS/DG and HDG are extremely jittery, practically useless since as I turn the knobs the heading bug jumps everywhere.  I have a similar problem with the transponder numbers, when I turn them they jump by anywhere from 1-5 digits per click.  Everything else is working well.  Any advice?

Which version of P3D? Which version of FSUIPC?

Use the text option in the PFC menu entry in "Add-Ons" and see what it shows when you turn those knobs.

Hi Pete,

I get the same behavior in P3D v2.5 and v3.1.  FSUIPC is version 4.949

When i go to the test tab and I move the heading bug on the RIC I get a big stream of up and down messages and I get the same on the transponder.  It's like my hardware knob is sending a big stream of conflicting UP/DOWN sequence.

Note that most rotary encoders send a message on each click, so you should be able to adjust in one increment just by a small turn. Twirling it will generate many messages, of course.

That test mode only reports what it receives. If you can't get single results I think you need to contact PFC support. Eric is very helpful -- try email to eric@flypfc.com.

Ok thanks.  Might be old switches, I'll try soldering on a new one and see if that makes a difference.  If not, maybe convert it to a Bodnar board..
