LUA Script for Toggling Autogen

Recommended Posts

Hi Pete,

I am using FS9.

I am now beginning to use some of the older photo scenery in the sim such as MegaCity titles etc.

The problem I have with the photo scenery is blurriness. Even with today's machines I am suffering this as I have multiple display windows operating.

So I did research and was unable to see where I might be able to toggle this during flight.

So my question is:

Would it be possible to read an offset or write a LUA script that allows me to trigger the various levels of autogen in FS9 while

I'm flying rather than pause the sim and change it from the menu?

Much thanks,

Mike Lehkamp

Sorry. Two problems with that:

1. I'm no longer doing any FS9 development. After all it is now over 12 years old! The time came to move over exclusively to FSX/FSX-SE/P3D over a year ago.

2. I wouldn't know how to change the autogen dynamically. Someone would have to hack into FS9 innards to work it out. Maybe you could write a Lua program to open the menu (sending keypresses), then manipulating the sliders (using the Mouse library), but it wouldn't be much different to you doing it manually.
