pierrevw Posted April 16, 2016 Report Posted April 16, 2016 Hi flying friends, I would like to run FSX on a "slave" computer, using WidevieW to show an external view of the plane, which is flying on a main computer with P3D. I was told WidevieW was the good way to achieve this. CONFIG: PC1 = P3D main view + ProSim737 System + FSUIPC PC2 = 2 EICAS display (ProSim) + ProSimMCP (hardware connected: MCP from CPflight) + WideClient PC3 = PFDs and NDs displays (ProSim) + SIOC (OpenCockpits overheads) I try to run FSX on PC2, along with WidevieW, to get this external view. This computer has enough ressources. But I'm unable to start FSX when WideClient is running, because then I get the error "Microsoft® Flight Simulator is already running". I tried to edit the WideClient.ini and set ClassInstance=1 but then the MCP module is not working anymore. Is there a way to achieve this ? Someone can help ? Thanks a lot on beforehand ! :) Pierre
Pete Dowson Posted April 17, 2016 Report Posted April 17, 2016 No, it cannot be done without the client application being changed to also use the different class name, because the one it uses normally is the same as FSX's. Why not run the MCP program on the main VS PC? Pete
